Diotoir's Wacky Rumbles began in 2017, being based upon the Robot Wars mod+ for Robot Arena 2 and as a result using mostly Robot Wars, RoboGames and Roaming Robots machines for competitions. It was inspired by the success of Banter Wars and whilst it was going to be a quick simple series it blossomed into something massive!
Series 1, Extreme 1 and Series 2 were very basic, using a free version of Fraps and had the most bare bone basic Movie Maker edits made but it served its purpose to see what worked and what didn't.
Extreme 2 and Series 3 went with a new Windows 10 recording software and new video editing software to create a much higher quality series, even if the arena and lighting was a bit too red...
Series 4 onwards saw a better use of recording software, editing and arena. The series hit its peak and whilst the production was troubled it quality was not.
As years passed, the series has had thousands of competitors from the UK, US, Netherlands, Germany and so many more, with new International Championships taking place and who knows maybe a Series 5 one day...
